Local historian Ron Larson will lead his popular historical walking tours again this summer! Tours begin at the library's front entrance at 6:30 PM. Please click on the date you are interested in below to register.

Railroad Tours

Beginning in 1852, the railroad was surveyed and constructed through the area that was to become McFarland.  Join Ron Larson on a walk through McFarland’s 170-year railroad history, the people and businesses that had an impact on McFarland’s founding and growth.

 

Cemetery Tours

Local historian Ron Larson will lead you on a fascinating walk in McFarland’s Lower Cemetery, sharing stories of pastors, soldiers, musicians, business people, farmers and more. He will also share McFarland’s humble connections to the international corporate world, higher education and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
