Access LINKcat (Online Library Catalog)
Browse and place holds on more than 800,000 titles through LINKcat, the library catalog shared throughout the South Central Library System. You can also check your due dates, renew items, and pay fines.
Apply for a Library Card
You can apply for a free card at the library by filling out a registration form and showing a photo I.D. with your current address. If your photo I.D. does not have your current address, bring other proof of residence (checks, an official bill mailed to you, rental agreement, etc.) Children under 16 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the registration form. You can also apply for a web-only card.
Book Discussion Kits
Kits are available through interlibrary loan, courtesy of Madison Public Library. A number of titles are available, and books, author information and discussion questions are included.
Computers and Wireless Internet
Wireless internet access is available throughout the library and extends outside to our parking lot and Discover Garden Park. We have 12 public computers available that are equipped with internet access and the Microsoft Office Suite. They are available on a drop-in basis, or you may reserve a computer a day ahead using the link below. There is a two hour time limit for using a computer; additional time may be available if no one is waiting.

A self-service, coin-operated photocopier is available for public use. Copies may be made in black and white or in color. The available paper sizes are 8"x11" and 8.5" by 14". The photocopier can reduce, enlarge, and print double-sided copies, and it can scan to and print from a USB drive. Our public computers also print to this photocopier.
Black and white copies and printing is 10 cents a page. Color copies and printing is 50 cents a page.
Fax service is $2 for the first page, and $1 for each additional page. We are not able to receive incoming faxes.

Home Delivery Service
Home delivery of materials can be arranged through Dane County Library Service.
We have notary services available during select hours. Please call 608-838-9030 to schedule an appointment.
Notary services are also available in the McFarland Municipal Center on a drop-in basis.
If you are looking for a book that you are unable to find in LINKcat, you may request that we borrow it from another library outside the South Central Library System (outerlibrary loan) or that we purchase it. Call us at 608-838-9030 to submit an outerlibrary loan request or fill out a Purchase Recommendation Form. PLEASE NOTE for outerlibrary loan requests:
- Your account must be in good standing with no outstanding charges.
- We cannot request items until 6 months after the publication date.
- Requests are limited to 4 per month and 20 per year.
