Join local historian Ron Larson as he discusses the life and legacy of Conrad Elvehjem. Elvehjem is best known for his groundbreaking discoveries in vitamin and nutritional research while at the University of Wisconsin. Ron will touch on a wide range of topics in Elvehjem’s life, including jumping the freight train to go to high school in Stoughton, his dedication to the University of Wisconsin as a student, professor, dean and president, and the racial controversies surrounding Elvehjem.
