What is 500 Books Before Middle School?
500 Books Before Middle School is a reading program that any K-5 student can enroll in. It is the next step from the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. There are no time limits so participants can start and finish any time before entering Middle School. Much like the 1000 Books program, this program is created to promote literacy as well as encourage a lifelong love of reading. Participants work at their own pace so they can enjoy reading and have fun.
Participants will track their reading through the Beanstack app. During the course of the program there will be incentives to encourage participants to continue working toward their 500-book goal. Everyone who completes this program will receive a brag tag, certificate and prize book.
