Cemetery Walking Tours

Ron Larson will give two cemetery walking tours this summer. On Tuesday, July 9, he will focus on McFarlanders who became elected officials. On Tuesday, August 20, he will focus on the McFarland Lutheran Church. Tours are 6:30-8 PM. Registration is required and will open two weeks before each walking tour.

We are fortunate to have Ron Larson back at the library, doing what he does best: presenting McFarland history!  This summer, join us for two walking tours: Vote! and Faith of our Fathers

Learn about the people who helped shape our community by serving as elected officials on the local, county, and state levels. 

Tuesday, August 20th, 6:30-8 PM: Faith of our Fathers

The McFarland Lutheran Church was the first church in McFarland, organized in 1867.  Learn about the history of the first buildings, early ministers, and some of the early congregants.

Tours will begin at the Lower McFarland Cemetery instead of the library.

Registration is required and will open two weeks prior to each walk (June 25 and August 6).  You can register here or by calling 608-838-9030.
