McFarland Senior Outreach and E.D. Locke Public Library are once again partnering for the 2026 Community Craft Project. The goal is to engage adults in collaborative crafting to create beautiful, functional textiles for community members in need.
Quilt square kits will be available to pick up at the library starting April 1. Each kit will include pre-cut fabric and directions for a particular pattern. There will be multiple patterns to choose from. All you will need is thread and the ability to sew the quilt square together! Want to create your own? Stop in to pick up a direction packet that includes required measurements, or use this link to view the document online.
Drop off completed squares at E.D. Locke Public Library. We will be collecting completed squares through June 30.
We are also in need of material donations! Requirements include:
100% cotton fabric (no flannels)
Washed & smoke-free
Smaller pieces: at least 10 inches by 10 inches
Larger pieces for quilt backs: at least 36 inches by 36 inches
