Join local historian Ron Larson in celebrating our country’s 250th anniversary with a cemetery tour of McFarland’s military veterans. From the Civil War to the War in Afghanistan, Ron will share stories of the courageous veterans, their heroism, sacrifice, and heartbreak. An added bonus will be the story of a Norwegian immigrant who fought in the Napoleonic Wars and later settled in the McFarland area.

We will meet in the front of the library shortly before 6:30 and walk to the cemetery together. Please wear appropriate walking attire and shoes.  Consider using bug spray beforehand.

Registration is required and opens July 13.

This walk will be rescheduled if there is inclement weather.
