Are you looking to broaden your birding horizons?  Do you need a little guidance in how to start?  Join us as Shawn Miller, local experienced birder, teaches us about the hot spots for birding in McFarland.     

Shawn will also be leading two bird walks the week of May 6th (registration will be required).  You can also stop by the Bird Festival on May 11 where you can enjoy all things bird related, including more bird walks, informational booths, birdhouses made by local artist Gary Schneider, and a raffle for some awesome prizes.

The 2024 Great Wisconsin Bird-a-thon takes place on Saturday, May 4th.  Please consider supporting the McFarland Bird Festival Team of Shawn Miller and Alex Arnold.

Bird-a-thon 2024

Local birders Shawn Miller and Alex Arnold are participating in the 2024 Great Wisconsin Bird-a-thon on Saturday May 4th.  Their goal is to raise funds for a PURPLE MARTIN HOUSE and interpretive signage for McFarland's Lewis Park/Marsh Woods Park areas.   They are hoping to find between 80-100 species in one day!
