We're lucky to have Ron Larson come back to the library and do what he does best: teach us about McFarland history! Both tours begin at E.D. Locke Public Library. July 24th's program will be live streamed and recorded for those who cannot attend in person. Live stream link: https://youtube.com/live/mbE8xj3L04k?feature=share.

July 10: Exchange Street Landmarks Walking Tour
Join Ron Larson on a walk down Exchange Street. He will explain the architectural and historical significance of the nine local landmarks on that street, as well as offer several interesting historical tidbits of other homes along the street, including one involving Hall of Fame pitcher Robin Roberts.
DUE TO THE WEATHER, WE WILL BE HAVING A PRESENTATION IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM. NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED; JOIN US AT 6:30!

July 24: Norwegian Immigration Cemetery Tour
This year marks the 200th anniversary of the first organized emigration from Norway. Ron Larson will discuss the history of Norwegian emigration to this country. He will also point out some of the earliest Norwegian immigrants that settled in the McFarland area and the hardships that they encountered.
