Hyang-nang is a traditional Korean scent pouch handcrafted from mosi (ramie fabric), a lightweight and elegant textile that has been used in Korea for over 1,000 years. These small pouches traditionally hold fragrant herbs, incense, or other aromatic materials and are often given as meaningful gifts or displayed as decorative keepsakes.

In this beginner-friendly workshop led by artist Miryeong Hong, participants will learn basic hand-sewing techniques while creating their own mosi scent pouch. No prior sewing experience is required, and all materials will be provided. Participants will also learn about the cultural significance and traditional use of these beautiful handcrafted pouches.

Experienced sewers are welcome to bring their favorite tools, such as a thimble, sewing scissors, Hera marker, or cutting mat.

Space is limited; registration is required and opens July 30 here.
